Many clients with ADHD want to make progress but find themselves stuck despite their best intentions. In this 90-minute webinar lead by Tamara Shih, Physical Therapist, Coach Approach in Healthcare certification, and ADHD Rehabilitation Services Provider certification, we’ll explore how coaches can move beyond mindset-based approaches to integrate evidence-informed strategies that honor the neurological realities of ADHD. Through a live coaching demonstration and guided debrief, participants will gain practical insight into how to foster awareness, reduce frustration, and support clients toward sustainable change.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Observe a live coaching session with an individual diagnosed with ADHD to recognize how the coach partners with the client to navigate moments of “stuckness.”
- Differentiate mindset-based approaches from evidence-informed coaching strategies that acknowledge neurological and behavioral factors influencing change.
- Identify practical tools and questioning techniques that support clients experiencing barriers to follow-through, attention, or emotional regulation.
- Describe ways to integrate these strategies into coaching conversations that balance empathy, structure, and accountability.
