FAQ – Executive Coaching
Most clients prefer to schedule meetings every two weeks. This timeframe allows ample time for clients to work on and complete their action steps between sessions, fostering steady progress towards their goals. While many clients opt for the same day and time for consistency and convenience, scheduling is flexible to accommodate individual preferences and scheduling constraints. Ultimately, the frequency and timing of meetings are tailored to best suit the needs and preferences of each client.
Booking appointments is easy. I’ll provide you with my calendar link, allowing you to schedule sessions on days and times that work best for you. I usually reserve my coaching days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some flexibility available. The first session is 90 minutes, while subsequent sessions are typically 45 minutes. I encourage you to book 3-4 sessions (or more) ahead of time if possible, ensuring consistency in our coaching journey.
Once you’ve decided to proceed with coaching services with me, I’ll send you a form to complete, helping me learn more about you and your coaching goals. During this session, we’ll refine your goals, delve deeper into the Holistic Leadership Wheel, and if time allows, engage in a 15-30 minute coaching session. If you haven’t completed the form in advance, we’ll use the full 90 minutes to complete it together.
I offer flexibility in how I connect to ensure it aligns with your preferences and needs. I can meet virtually via a video platform using my Zoom Pro account, allowing for face-to-face interaction and the option to share screens during activities like brainstorming sessions or personalized debriefs. Alternatively, if you prefer the simplicity and focus of a phone call, I’m happy to connect via telephone. Research indicates that both methods—video and phone—are highly effective for coaching sessions. Ultimately, the choice is yours. My goal is to create an environment where you feel most comfortable and can derive the greatest benefit from our sessions.
During our coaching sessions, we’ll cover various topics to enhance your leadership skills, and here are examples of common topics:

– Establishing daily routines for progress.
– Improving team management and collaboration.

– Improving health and well-being.
These sessions are tailored to your needs, ensuring focused discussions on your leadership development journey.
Research suggests that preparation and reflection before coaching sessions enhance their effectiveness. Therefore, I provide a form for you to complete before our sessions, typically taking 5-10 minutes. While this is not mandatory, I encourage you to carve out time in your busy schedule before and after our sessions for reflection and decompression.
Absolutely, if that’s what you find most valuable. Our sessions can focus on real-time challenges, making them a priority for our time together. It’s important to note that our conversations are entirely confidential. As your coach, my role is not to provide you with answers but to assist you in finding your own solutions. I may identify potential blind spots and offer observations to aid your progress. These interventions are always aimed at supporting you in achieving your desired results more efficiently and effectively.
Not a problem if you don’t have a specific topic in mind. The Session Preparation form, which you’ll be invited to complete in advance, can assist you in identifying areas for discussion. Additionally, we can use the Holistic Leadership Wheel to explore potential topics during our sessions. As we continue to work together, I’ll also develop a “coaching menu” based on our interactions and your evolving needs. Rest assured, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Coaching sessions do not replace counseling and are not intended to provide advice or support for specific needs. If necessary, your coach may suggest counseling if it’s deemed beneficial for you. Confidentiality is maintained throughout our coaching sessions, except in cases where there is concern for your or others’ safety.
There are several ways I support you in advancing towards your goals. Firstly, in each session, we develop an action plan together, fostering accountability and ensuring clear steps forward. I provide gentle nudges if I notice any goals you may have put aside or placed on hold. Additionally, we conduct frequent check-ins, with formal assessments every quarter or halfway through our agreed coaching duration (whether it’s 6 months or 12 months), where you can review your progress through a report.
